Week 44: What a week!

WOW!

What a week let me tell ya! On p-day it rained so we couldn't really do any hiking so instead we went to the mall near the mission home and we ran into this member from England who just moved to Budapest! She couldn't find where the church building was at and so we told her and she came on Sunday! Crazy how the Lord guides us to people in need!

We also got to give service at this Catholic old folks home! We got to clean some rooms and we took a picture because the area around the old folks home was super pretty! The hills and mountains are my favorite parts of Buda!

We met with this less active named István (one of the first converts in Hungary) and he is pretty awesome! He came to church on Sunday but he only stayed until sacrament meeting. Hence, we talked about the scriptures and the strength it gives! He committed to reading everyday and he even offered to teach US next lesson so we are looking forward to that!

We also had exchanges and I was with Elder Leavitt, one of the missionaries from my MTC group! And we killed it! We went tracting near Hüvös Völgy (Chill valley) and we got several new potential investigators! I learned a lot from him and we got some watermelon courtesy from Sister Szabadkai!

Thursday, what a crazy day! There was going to be MLC at the mission home but my old zone leader got sick so I went on splits with him to the hospital to get him checked and everything. It turns out something is wrong with his appendix so he has to stay in the hospital for a couple of days. As a result his companion, my old companion, Elder Smith got to stay with us! He even got to come to our zone day on Friday!!! It was super fun! We played all types of games and everything!!

To top it off this morning my old investigator from Kispest, Dardai Ilona got baptized!!!!! I was super excited to see her and the other Kispest members!!! Super cool and I was super happy to see her be baptized!! This is the Lord's church and I am grateful to serve Him here in Magyarország for 2 years! Thank you for everything and I will talk to you all next week!

Sok Szeretettel,

Elder Ballard
