Week 62: Elder Ballard's Devotional

Dear everyone,

On Sunday we had a wonderful devotional for the Europe area from Elder Ballard. He talked about the work in Europe, what the members can do to help, and the importance of the Sabbath Day. He told a story about the time when Ethiopia was undergoing a drought in the 80's. Elder Ballard and another general authority traveled to Ethiopia to help the people there. They met up with the only known member of the church in Ethiopia. For church, they decided to have a testimony meeting. Elder Ballard felt impressed to bless the land of Ethiopia with water. Later on that day, they heard thunder and soon the land was covered in water. His main message of that devotional was: to believe in miracles. He blessed us to have the faith to believe in miracles.

I am super grateful to be able to experience miracles on my mission. We met with our investigator Tímea on Tuesday and she is super great! She definitely feels the spirit and she totally believes that Joseph Smith, through the power of God, translated the Book of Mormon. She knows this because she believes in the scripture "by your fruits ye shall know them." She will be reading the Book of Mormon everyday.

I love you all and I pray for you all! Have a great week!

Love,
Elder Ballard

Zoli from Tatabánya surprised me and was at the devotional on Sunday!
