Week 87: Interjúk, napi cserék, és fehér táblázás

This week was a very interesting one but I learned a lot.

So, last week I said that this week we had a lot of scheduled plans, unfortunately, only two went through, but we laughed it through by finding more. Me and Elder Lister challenged ourselves to give a different approach every time we talk to someone, so that we can make finding more fun. Lately, Elder Lister has been working on a dance, during exercise time, about the story of the Restoration. So, one of the approaches that I did to this one guy during tracting was, "hey, do you like to dance?" He looked kind of puzzled and then started laughing and then he is like "no, not really" and then I said, "well, my friend likes to dance, would you like to see him dance?" Then, before he said anything, his wife jumped in and was not about it, but needless to say me and Elder Lister were dying at the end.

We also went white boarding a lot. The Székes elders were here again on splits and we found a ton of new potential investigators through that. We set up with some of them this week!

During white boarding, we talked with some college students from Jordan, Yemen, and Pakistan. It was really cool because in the April Liahona, there was an article about Islam and so we talked a lot about it with them. We met with a guy from Jordan and he became a new investigator too! It was really funny because lately, we have been trying to talk to the youth. During one point of the conversation he is like, "I am not sure if you already know this but, you have talked with almost everyone from my dormitory." Me and Elder Lister looked at each other and we were like #missionaccomplished.

The work is moving forward and I am excited for this week! I have been studying a lot about how to become a more effective missionary. There is this book called "The Power of Everyday Missionaries." I have learned a lot more about how to react to different opinions and views about the gospel. I have also been studying more about what happened during the Apostasy. This has made my testiomony regarding the Restoration stronger in the fact that, there must have needs be a Restoration in order for the TRUE church to be on the earth again. How grateful I am for the knowledge of this! I pray that everyday you all may have a similar feeling and knowledge regarding the truthfulness of the restored gospel. I love you all and I wish you all a great week!

Love,
Elder Ballard

This week while we were streeting, a guy offered to buy me a drink. I said he didn't have to, but he did it anyways!

The classic taco soup selfie!
